PTO Board Update and Thank You
At the March meeting we voted on PTO board members for the 2022-2023 school year. Help us welcome Peg Preston as co-president! Shannon Huber (Secretary), Kristina Sipma (Treasurer), and LeAnn Minister (co-president) will continue on in their current roles. The PTO wants to thank Nikki Schmaltz for her work as co-president these past two years. In the midst of COVID-19, she was committed to supporting our teachers, staff, and students. As she finishes 2021-2022 as co-president, she leaves the PTO in a strong position ready for next year. Nikki, thank you for your leadership and your investment in Edison. You have made sure Edison students, teachers, and staff are at the forefront of all PTO matters. Staff Appreciation Week: May 2-6 Even though we're nearing the end of the school year, the Edison community is still active and can use our support! Staff Appreciation Week is May 2-6 and the PTO hopes to partner with students and parents for this! If you have ideas of how to show our teachers and staff appreciation, or offer them our support, please email the PTO at edisonsiouxfalls@gmail.com. PTO Meetings & Activities At our last meeting in March, the PTO voted to contribute money to support Edison's PBIS store and a DJ for the school dance. We will also begin to research fundraisers that better meet the needs of the Edison community. hanks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
